Von Decarlo’s diverse background extends beyond stand-up. She is a graduate of UCB Theatre NY, where she trained in improv and musical improv as a recipient of the UCB diversity scholarship. She further honed her skills at The Pit and Magnet Theatre, as well as in cabaret. This diverse training has established her as a versatile and energetic force in comedy. Her 2016 one-woman show Lasagna was ahead of its time in exploring body consciousness, post-partum depression, loss, and grief, addressing these themes with remarkable depth and nuance. Von also holds a degree in Production from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh.

Her career has spanned various platforms, including stand-up comedy, radio, television, film, writing, and producing with appearances on HBO, Comedy Central, CNN, LOL Network, TruTV, Sirius XM, and more, showcasing her talent and earning a loyal fan base, and strong social media presence. Her ability to blend humor with deep insights into human nature and relationships brings a unique perspective to her comedy, drawing from her own life experiences to create engaging and relatable content. Von Decarlo has also lent her talents to nationwide commercials and global ad campaigns for esteemed brands such as Disney, Carnival Cruise Lines, GNC Live Well, and Match.com, among others.

 

Von Decarlo is an author, having self-published her first book "Speak Fluent Man" in which she shares insights and advice on relationships and self-discovery. Her writing reflects her comedic style, blending humor with genuine introspection. She's also the creator and executive producer of the documentary “Killing Is Easy," which delves into the life and legacy of comedian Patrice O'Neal. Moreover, she served as the producer for all three of Patrice O’Neal’s comedy albums, collaborated with him on his Comedy Central pilot, contributed to both performance and writing for his original web series, composed and produced the theme music for his acclaimed special Elephant In The Room, and played a key role in various aspects of writing and producing across numerous projects during their decade-long relationship.   

 

Von Decarlo made history as the first woman and comedian to host her own show on Sirius XM NBA Radio. Her show brought a fresh, funny perspective to the world of sports radio, and her presence on the Sirius XM NBA channel represented a significant step forward in diversifying sports media and amplifying comedic voices in traditionally male-dominated spaces. Her commitment to spreading positivity and empowerment through her work across various genres of entertainment sets her apart as a comedian who not only entertains but also inspires her audience.
 

A headline act in her own regard, Von Decarlo has featured for acclaimed comedians such as Ali Siddiq, Jessica Kirson, Godfrey, Craig Robinson, Roy Wood Jr., Arsenio Hall, and others. She has also performed at prominent festivals including the New York Comedy Festival, Just For Laughs in Montreal, Netflix Is A Joke, and the Human Kind Festival in Australia.
