She has also starred in global commercial campaigns for top brands such as Disney, GNC, and Carnival Cruise Lines.

A deeply introspective performer, Von draws from personal experience to explore relationships, identity, and the quirks of modern life, delivering both humor and heart with a touch of class. She is the creator and executive producer of Killing Is Easy, a documentary on the life of Patrice O’Neal, with whom she collaborated extensively. Von produced all three of O’Neal’s comedy albums, co-developed his Comedy Central pilot, and contributed both writing and performance to his original web series. She also composed and produced the theme music for his acclaimed special Elephant in the Room.

Von’s diverse background extends beyond stand-up. She is a graduate of UCB Theatre NY, where she trained in improv and musical improv as a recipient of the UCB Diversity Scholarship. She also trained at The PIT and Magnet Theater, as well as in cabaret. Her 2016 one-woman show Lasagna was ahead of its time in exploring themes of body consciousness, postpartum depression, loss, and grief—addressed with remarkable depth and nuance. Von also holds a degree in Production from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh.

Her smart, fearless perspective has earned her a loyal following and a strong social media presence.

Her new book, Fine Over Fifty, aims to reframe aging from fear and shame to power and purpose.
